PREDICTION: WARRIORS IN ?
Let’s face it. The Warriors haven’t won a title since..gosh..1975. Were you alive then? But anything’s possible, right? To predict the winner I decided to check out our brands app and see what kind of people make up each team’s fan base.
Here’s what I’m after: I want the loud, obnoxious, but extremely effective fan. So, I took some stats and segment values and calculated a very rudimentary algorithm, calling it, “Smacktawk™”. You see, I think the team that’s going to win this needs to be gritty. Tough. Ear-biting mean. Be a gentleman off the court, not on. On the court, be a winner, whatever it takes.
Smacktawk™: My proprietary segment (JV Holt). Although it’s my personal IP, I’m happy to license it for a good beer. That’s how good it is. Anyway, Smacktawk™ is a combination of, (Low) Wholesomeness, (High) Engaged Fans, (High) Mood and (Low) Sophistication. All the data I used is available to anyone in the brands app. By the way, the name was inspired just now as I sit in a steamy coffee shop in Brooklyn, whose owners are desperately trying to hold on to their heritage, while still catering to the sea of gentrified hip-posers such as myself.
